- Your doctor has prescribed Dutamax to shrink the enlarged prostate and reduce the risk of urinary retention.
- It may take 3 to 6 months to see the full beneficial effect of Dutamax. Hence, continue taking the medicine as advised by your doctor.
- Dutamax is usually well tolerated. However, it may produce some mild sexual side effects such as low sexual drive.
- Do not donate blood for 6 months after taking the last dose of Dutamax.
Indication
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Adult Dose
Oral Benign prostatic hyperplasia Adult: 500 mcg once daily for at least 6 mth. Hepatic impairment: Severe: Contraindicated.
Renal Dose
Renal impairment: Dose adjustment not necessary
Contraindication
Severe liver impairment; pregnant women, children, adolescent.
