Introduction
Sodib is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of Indigestion. It is an antacid which is used to relieve acid indigestion, heartburn, and gas. Sodib helps to neutralize the acid present in the stomach by producing carbon dioxide which results in reduction of irritation in stomach and intestine. How to use Sodib
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Sodib may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Sodib works
Sodib is an alkalizer. It works by increasing the pH of blood and urine, thereby correcting metabolic acidosis (high acid levels in the body). It also speeds up the removal of toxic substances from the body in certain types of poisoning. In case of excessive fluid loss (such as in diarrhea), it works by replenishing salt and electrolyte levels.
What if you forget to take Sodib?
If you miss a dose of Sodib, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
