Bepotas Eye Drop belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. It is used in the treatment of itching asssociated with inflammation in the eyes (redness and swelling) caused due to allergy. Follow your doctor's instructions precisely for administering Bepotas Eye Drop in the eye. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to returning or worsening. Commonly seen side effects seen with this medicine include temporary eye irritation and burning sensation after administration. Consult your doctor if these side effects persist or if your condition worsens. It may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use, so not drive until your vision is clear.

How to use Bepotas Eye Drop
This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

Bepotas Eye Drop is an antihistaminic medication. It treats allergy symptoms such as itching, swelling, and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger (histamine) in the body.
What if you forget to take Bepotas Eye Drop?
If you miss a dose of Bepotas Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

- Your doctor has prescribed Bepotas Eye Drop to treat inflammation (redness and swelling) due to allergies of the eye.
- It treats short-term or sudden allergic reactions in the eye.

- Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.

Mode of Action
Bepotastine is direct H1-receptor antagonist and an inhibitor of the release of histamine from mast cells.
Precaution
To minimize the risk of contamination, do not touch dropper tip to any surface. It should not be used to treat contact lens-related irritation. Patients should be advised not to wear contact lens when using this drop. Lactation: excretion in milk unknown; use with caution
