DESCRIPTION

Ultra sun-SLX Aqua Lotion

Ultra sun-SLX Aqua Lotion is a sunscreen lotion that will protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Sunscreens provide either a chemical or a physical barrier to sunlight. These agents help to prevent sunburn, premature aging, photosensitivity reactions and reduce incidences of skin cancer. Ultra sun-SLX Aqua Lotion contains a mixture of physical and chemical sunscreen agents to give you optimum protection from sun rays.

Adults and children above 6 months of age should apply the lotion liberally and evenly to exposed areas of the skin before sun exposure. If required reapply the product liberally every 1 to 2 hours for adequate protection or as directed by the physician. There is no recommended dosage for children below 6 months of age except under the supervision of the doctor.

Avobenzone U.S.P. 2.0% w/v

Octinoxate U.S.P. 7.5% w/v

Oxybenzone U.S.P. 3.0% w/v

Octocrylene U.S.P. 3.0% w/v

Zinc Oxide I.P. 2.0% w/v

Oxybenzone is a benzophenone which effectively absorb light throughout the UVB range (290-320) and also absorb some UVA Iight with wavelengths of 320 to 360 and some UVC light from 250 to 290 nm.

Avobenzone is a substituted dibenzoylmethane which absorb UVA 320 to 400. It is generally used in combination with other agents which have a UVB absorption.

Octinoxate is a substituted cinnamate which effectively absorb light throughout the UVB range (290-320).

Oclocrylene is the substituted cinnamate with actions similar to that of Octinoxate.

& Physical sunscreens reflect or scatter light in both the visible and UV spectrum (290 to 700 nm), preventing penetration of the skin. Ultrasun-SLX Aqua Lotion contains zinc oxide as the physical sunscreen agent

The formulation found to be safe. Most common side effect is dryness. Rarely some patient show acne, burning, itching or stinging of skin, early appearance of redness or swelling of the skin, late appearance of rash with or without weeping blisters that become crusted, especially in sun exposed areas and may extend to unexposed areas of skin, pain in hairy areas, pus in hair follicles. The aforesaid side effects may disappears as body adjusts to the product
