- Some tips for personal hygiene:
- Apply an amount sufficient to cover the affected area and 1 inch of the immediate surrounding skin.
- Avoid getting it in the eyes, nose, or mouth. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water.
- It can take a few weeks for the infection to clear and a few months before the skin returns to its normal color.
- Inform your doctor if the infection has not cleared up after four weeks of treatment.

Contraindication
Hypersensitivity.
Mode of Action
Sertaconazole alters fungal cell wall membrane permeability. It inhibits the CYP450-dependent synthesis of ergosterol.
Precaution
Discontinue if irritation or sensitivity develop. Pregnancy and lactation. Monitoring Parameters Reassess diagnosis if no clinical improvement after 2 wk.
Lactation: not known if distributed into milk; use caution
Side Effect
Contact dermatitis, dry skin, burning skin, application site reaction, skin tenderness, erythema, pruritus, vesiculation, desquamation, hyperpigmentation.
