Renal Dose

It should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Vaskar Laban may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Contraindication

Generally no report in the scientific literature for Lutein and Zeaxanthin at doses up to 40 mg for 2 months.Lutein and Zeaxanthin are especially concentrated in rods which are specialized light sensitive cell or photoprotector in retina and responsible for black and white vision in the dark

Mode of Action

Lutein and Zeaxanthin have immunostimulant and photoprotectant properties. Lutein and zeaxanthin can filter blue light to prevent the formation of reactive oxygen species, especially singlet oxygen, in the retina and can further reduce oxidation by directly quenching singlet oxygen and related free radicals in the retina.

Precautions

Over doses may mildly elevate blood pressure. Safety in young children or individuals with severe hepatic or renal disease is not known.
