Augment ® Vet 1.2 g Injection
Each pack contains 1 vial of Co-Amoxiclav for Injection BP consisting of
Amoxicillin sodium BP equivalent to Amoxicillin 1 g & Potassium
Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 200 mg and 1 ampule of
Water for injection USP 5 mL.
Augment ® Vet 2.4 g Injection
Each pack contains 1 vial of Co-Amoxiclav for Injection BP consisting of
Amoxicillin sodium BP equivalent to Amoxicillin 2 g & Potassium
Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 400 mg and 1 ampule of
Water for injection USP 10 mL.

INDICATIONS
Augment ® Vet injection is highly effective against penicillin sensitive
gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is effective against various
disease like mastitis, metritis, gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, calf scour,
pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, umbilical infection, foot root, fever,
campilobacilosis, urinary tract infections, black quarter, haemorrhagic
septicemia, joint infection etc.

MODE OF ACTION
Augment ® Vet injection is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that
belongs to the beta-lactum group. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial
cell wall synthesis by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxipeptidase
enzymes of bacteria. On the other hand, Clavulanic acid is a beta
lactamase inhibitor, used in conjunction with beta-lactamase susceptible
antibiotics to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase producing
organisms.

DIRECTION FOR RECONSTITUTION
For Augment ® Vet 1.2 g Injection: Add 5 mL water for injection (WFI)
into the vial containing powder for injection gradually and shake well
until the powder dissolved properly.
For Augment ® Vet 2.4 g Injection: Add 10 mL water for injection (WFI)
into the vial containing powder for injection gradually and shake well
until the powder dissolved properly.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
1 mL / 28 Kg (7 mg/ Kg) body weight, by IM/SC, once daily for 3-5 days.
Or, as per direction of a registered Veterinarian / Consultant.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 25 days; Milk: 3 days and 6 hours.

ADVERSE EFFECTS
No adverse effect at recommended dose. Sometimes hypersensitivity
reactions and digestive instability may occur.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Should not be administered to the animals hypersensitive to Amoxicillin
and/or Clavulanic acid.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
The safety of administration of Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid to
pregnant or breeding animal is unknown.

PRECAUTIONS
• The reconstituted solution should be used within 20 minutes, do not freeze.
• Can be used only under supervision of registered veterinarian
• Complete full course according to the prescription
• Dosage and administration must be as per prescription

STORAGE CONDITION
Keep in a dry place and away from light. Store at or below 25 °C
temperature. Keep out of reach of children.

Augment ® Vet 1.2 g Injection: Each box contains 1 vial filled with
powder, 1 ampule of 5 mL water for Injection and 1 piece 10 mL
disposable syringe. Each vial of Co-Amoxiclav for Injection BP consisting
of Amoxicillin sodium BP equivalent to Amoxicillin 1 g & Potassium
Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 200 mg.
