How to use Fenticona Vaginal Cream

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Lie on your back and gently insert the capsule into the vagina as high as possible with or without the use of an applicator as mentioned in the label.

If you miss a dose of Fenticona Vaginal Cream, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Fenticona Vaginal Cream helps treat vaginal fungal infections. It reduces vaginal burning, itching, and discharge.

It is inserted into the vagina using an applicator, usually at night before going to bed.

Candidiasis, Fungal skin infections, Vaginal thrush (Vaginal candidiasis), Vulvovaginal candidiasis

Administration

Vaginal administration: Insert one VT high into the vagina in the evening before going to bed (this is easiest when lying on back with knees bent up).

Adult Dose

Topical Cutaneous fungal infections Adult: Apply 2% cream twice daily on the affected site. Vaginal Tablet Vaginal thrush The VT should be inserted into the vagina as a single dose, at bedtime.

Mode of Action

The main mechanism of action of fenticonazole is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of aspartate acid proteinase, a virulence enzyme of Candida albicans correlated with the adherence of the yeast to epithelial cells. This activity is quite peculiar as it was not observed with fluconazole, ketoconazole and miconazole.
