Practin Syrup (Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride) 200ml

Practin® Syrup contains Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride 2mg per 5ml, an antihistamine used to help relieve symptoms of allergic conditions such as itching, swelling, and rashes. It is also commonly used as an appetite stimulant to help manage loss of appetite under medical guidance. The syrup is flavoured for easier consumption and should be taken exactly as advised by a doctor.

Composition (Per 5ml)

• Cyproheptadine Hydrochloride IP (anhydrous) — 2mg

• Flavoured syrupy base — q.s.

Key Uses

• Helps relieve symptoms of allergic conditions (itching, swelling, rashes, inflammation)

• Used as an appetite stimulant to help improve hunger and nutritional intake (as advised by physician)

Recommended Dosage (As Stated)

Adults:

• 2 teaspoonfuls (10ml) 3–4 times daily

Children:

• 2–6 years: 1 teaspoonful (5ml) 3 times daily

• 7–14 years: 1–2 teaspoonfuls (5–10ml) 3 times daily
  Or as directed by the doctor.

How to Use

• Shake well before use

• Measure with a measuring cup/spoon and take by mouth

• Can be taken with or without food (follow your doctor’s advice)

Storage

Store protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep out of reach of children

• May cause drowsiness/dizziness—avoid driving or tasks needing alertness

• Avoid alcohol (may increase drowsiness)

• Consult a doctor before use if you have liver, kidney, or heart problems
