- Do not discontinue use without consulting your doctor.
- It increases your risk of bleeding. Be careful while shaving, cutting fingernails or toenails or using sharp objects.
- If you are going to have a surgery or dental treatment, you may be asked to stop taking Pyrintin temporarily.
- Headache is a common side effect, but it often goes away after the first week of use.
Indication
Stroke, Thromboembolism, Transient ischaemic attack
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach. Take on an empty stomach 1 hr before meals. May be taken w/ meals to reduce GI discomfort.
Adult Dose
Oral Thromboembolism Prophylaxis Post-Cardiac Valve Replacement Adult: 75-100 mg PO q6hr as adjunct to warfarin
Child Dose
Oral Thromboembolism Prophylaxis Post-Cardiac Valve Replacement Child: 3-6 mg/kg/day PO divided q6-8hr

Hypersensitivity. Peptic ulcer.
