ভিটামিন সি: কোলাজেন গঠন এবং টিস্যু মেরামতের জন্য প্রয়োজনীয়; অক্সিডেশন/হ্রাস প্রতিক্রিয়ার পাশাপাশি ক্যাটেকোলামাইন, কার্নিটাইন এবং স্টেরয়েডের সংশ্লেষণ সহ অন্যান্য বিপাকীয় পথগুলিতে ভূমিকা পালন করে; ফলিক অ্যাসিডকে ফলিনিক অ্যাসিডে রূপান্তর করতেও ভূমিকা রাখে। ভিটামিন ই হেমোলাইসিসের বিরুদ্ধে লোহিত রক্তকণিকা রক্ষায় ভূমিকা পালন করে; কোষের ঝিল্লিতে পাওয়া পলিআনস্যাচুরেটেড ফ্যাটি অ্যাসিডগুলিতে ফ্রি র‌্যাডিকেলের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিরক্ষামূলক প্রভাব রয়েছে; ভিটামিন এ এবং সি এর অক্সিডেশন প্রতিরোধে ভূমিকা পালন করে।

সতর্কতা

হাইপারভিটামিনোসিস। গর্ভাবস্থার প্রথম দিকে ব্যবহার এড়িয়ে চলুন। অ্যান্টি-কোগুল্যান্ট থেরাপির রোগীদের দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে অ্যাসকরবিক অ্যাসিড ব্যবহার করা উচিত নয়।

পার্শ্ব প্রতিক্রিয়া

ভিটামিন সি: ডিফেরক্সামিন, হরমোনাল গর্ভনিরোধক, ফ্লুফেনাজিন, ওয়ারফারিন, এলিমেন্টাল আয়রন, স্যালিসিলেটস, ওয়ারফারিন, ফ্লুফেনাজিন, ডিসালফিরাম, মেক্সিলেটিন, ভিটামিন বি 12। ভিটামিন ই: কোলেস্টিরামাইন, কোলেস্টিপল এবং অরলিস্ট্যাট ভিটামিন ই শোষণে হস্তক্ষেপ করতে পারে। ভিটামিন ই উচ্চ মাত্রায় ওয়ারফারিনের অ্যান্টিকোয়্যাগুল্যান্ট ক্রিয়াকে শক্তিশালী করে। ভিটামিন ই এর বড় ডোজ আয়রন সাপ্লিমেন্টেশনের প্রতিক্রিয়া নষ্ট করতে পারে।
