Carditor 5/10 is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.

Carditor 5/10 is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Carditor 5/10 is recommended.
However, inform your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
CAUTION

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Carditor 5/10 may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Carditor 5/10 works
Carditor 5/10 is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and atorvastatin which treat high blood pressure associated with high cholesterol levels. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication which works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL). Together they reduce the risk of heart diseases.
