Introduction
Dort is a unique preparation of standardized extract ofDort , which is widely used as effective herbal medicine in the treatment of depression. The major active constituents ofDort are hypericin, hyperforin, hyperoside, quercitrin and rich in vitamin C. Jonort possesses antidepressant activity which inhibits re-uptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-glutamate. It has also inhibiting activity of Monoamine oxidase (MAO) and Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT).

Dort is used in- Depression Insomnia Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

What if you forget to take Dort
If you miss a dose of Dort, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Administration
Administered only orally as advised by the physician.
Adult Dose
Take one capsule three times per day, or as prescribed by a doctor.
Child Dose
Not recommended for children.
Renal Dose

Contraindication
Contraindicated in patient with a known hypersensitivity to silymarin.

Precaution

Interaction
It interacts with SSRI antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, paroxetine), other antidepressants that affect serotonin levels (e.g., nefazodone), and some migraine treatments (e.g., sumatriptan, naratriptan).
