The Medela Freestyle Flex Portable Double Electric Breast Pump is designed for convenience, portability, and efficiency. Here’s a clear step-by-step guide for proper use:

 

Step 1: Preparation

  • Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the pump.

  • Assemble the pump parts (breast shields, connectors, bottles, tubing) as instructed in the manual.

  • Ensure all parts are clean and dry before use.

 

Step 2: Positioning

  • Sit comfortably and place the PersonalFit Flex breast shields (choose 21mm or 24mm size) on your breasts.

  • Make sure the shields fit snugly to create a proper seal for effective suction.

 

Step 3: Power On

  • Press the touchscreen power button to turn on the pump.

  • Adjust suction strength and rhythm using the digital display.

  • The pump uses 2-Phase Expression Technology:

    • Stimulation Phase: Fast, light suction to encourage milk let-down.

    • Expression Phase: Slower, deeper suction to maximize milk flow.

 

Step 4: Pumping

  • Relax and allow the pump to work for 15–20 minutes or until milk flow slows.

  • You can pump from both breasts simultaneously for efficiency.
