Description:
Carflam Vet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) formulated for veterinary use, containing Carprofen 100 mg per bolus. It is designed to provide anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects in animals, helping relieve pain, inflammation, and fever associated with various conditions.

Active Ingredient:

• Carprofen USP 100 mg per bolus

Pharmacology:
Carprofen inhibits cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), with a higher selectivity for COX-2, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandins involved in inflammation. This action makes it effective in managing long-term inflammatory conditions, musculoskeletal pain, and postoperative discomfort in animals.

Indications:

• Relief of inflammation and pain in cattle, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, and poultry

• Supportive therapy for musculoskeletal disorders

• Adjunct therapy following surgical procedures or post-traumatic injuries

• Used alongside antibiotics for severe infections in animals

Dosage & Administration:

Precautions & Warnings:

• Avoid use in animals sensitive to Carprofen

• Use with caution in young (<6 weeks) or elderly animals, or those who are dehydrated, hypotensive, or hypovolemic

• Do not combine with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids within 24 hours

Side Effects:

• Long-term use may cause gastrointestinal ulceration, vomiting, anorexia, or diarrhea

• Rare: Unknown side effects

Pregnancy & Lactation:

• Safety in pregnant or lactating animals not established; use only if benefits outweigh risks

Withdrawal Period:

• Meat: 21 days

• Milk: 0 days

Storage:

• Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight

• Keep out of reach of children
