Acne Care (Isotretinoin 20 mg) is an oral retinoid therapy used for the treatment of severe cystic and inflammatory acne that has not responded to conventional treatment. As a derivative of Vitamin A, Isotretinoin works at the root cause of acne by shrinking sebaceous glands, reducing sebum production, and preventing formation of new acne lesions.

It is especially effective for:

• Severe cystic acne

• Disfiguring inflammatory acne

• Recalcitrant acne (unresponsive to other treatments)

• Cyclical acne in women

How It Works

Isotretinoin targets multiple acne-causing pathways:

• Shrinks and reduces activity of sebaceous glands

• Inhibits growth of acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes) due to reduced oil environment

Dosage & Administration

• The recommended dose is 0.5–1 mg/kg body weight per day

• Administered in two divided doses taken after meals

• Treatment continues until a cumulative dose of 120 mg/kg is achieved

• A full treatment course typically lasts 6–8 months

• The micronized form used in Acne Care capsules ensures better bioavailability and faster results
