Saline-O Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS)

Saline-O is an oral rehydration salt (ORS) formulation used to replace fluid and electrolyte loss caused by diarrhea or any condition that leads to dehydration. It helps restore essential salts and glucose to maintain proper hydration and prevent complications from fluid loss. Saline-O is prepared according to standard oral rehydration guidelines and is safe for people of all ages when used as directed.

To prepare the solution, mix the entire content of one sachet in 500 ml (half liter) of clean, drinking water. The solution should be consumed throughout the day as needed. The product should not be mixed with hot water and should not be reheated after mixing.

Composition (per sachet):
Potassium Chloride BP – 0.75 g
Sodium Chloride BP – 1.30 g
Trisodium Citrate Dihydrate BP – 1.45 g
Anhydrous Glucose BP – 13.50 g

Dosage Guide (After Each Loose Stool):
Children under 2 years: 10–20 teaspoonfuls of prepared solution
Children 2–10 years: 125 ml–250 ml of prepared solution
Above 10 years: 250 ml–500 ml of prepared solution

Advice:
Continue giving Saline-O as long as diarrhea persists.
Breastfeeding should NOT be stopped.
Older children and adults should continue eating their usual food.

Precautions:
Do not use hot water.
Do not heat the prepared solution.
Discard unused solution after 12 hours and prepare fresh.

Storage:
Store below 30°C, away from light and moisture.

স্যালাইন-ও খাওয়ার স্যালাইন / ওআরএস

স্যালাইন-ও ডায়রিয়া বা যেকোনো ধরনের পাতলা পায়খানাজনিত পানিস্বল্পতা পূরণের জন্য ব্যবহৃত একটি খাওয়ার স্যালাইন (ORS)। এটি শরীর থেকে হারিয়ে যাওয়া পানি, লবণ ও গ্লুকোজ পূরণ করে পানিশূন্যতা রোধ করে এবং শরীরের স্বাভাবিক শক্তি বজায় রাখে।

প্রস্তুত প্রণালি:
একটি স্যাচেটের সবটুকু গুঁড়া ৫০০ মি.লি. (আধা লিটার) বিশুদ্ধ পানিতে ভালোভাবে মিশিয়ে স্যালাইন তৈরি করতে হবে। গরম পানিতে মেশানো যাবে না এবং মেশানো পানীয় গরম করা যাবে না।

উপাদান (প্রতি স্যাচেট):
পটাসিয়াম ক্লোরাইড BP – ০.৭৫ গ্রাম
সোডিয়াম ক্লোরাইড BP – ১.৩০ গ্রাম
ট্রাইসোডিয়াম সাইট্রেট ডাইহাইড্রেট BP – ১.৪৫ গ্রাম
এনহাইড্রাস গ্লুকোজ BP – ১৩.৫০ গ্রাম

খাওয়ানোর নিয়ম (প্রতিবার পাতলা পায়খানার পর):
২ বছরের কম বয়স: ১০–২০ চা চামচ স্যালাইন
২–১০ বছর: ১২৫–২৫০ মি.লি. স্যালাইন
১০ বছরের উপর: ২৫০–৫০০ মি.লি. স্যালাইন

পরামর্শ:
যতক্ষণ পাতলা পায়খানা চলবে, ততক্ষণ নিয়মিত স্যালাইন-ও দিন।
দুধের শিশুকে বুকের দুধ খাওয়ানো বন্ধ করবেন না।
বড়দের ক্ষেত্রে স্বাভাবিক খাবার খেতে দিন।

সতর্কতা:
গরম পানিতে স্যালাইন-ও মেশাবেন না।
মেশানো স্যালাইন ১২ ঘণ্টা পর ফেলে দিন এবং নতুন করে তৈরি করুন।

সংরক্ষণ:
৩০° সে. এর নিচে, আলো ও আর্দ্রতা থেকে দূরে রাখুন।
