LACRENT Isabgol is a flavored psyllium husk (Ispaghula) fiber supplement formulated under Unani medicine principles. It is derived from the husk and seeds of Plantago ovata, commonly known as psyllium or Isabgol, and is widely used to support healthy digestion and bowel regularity.

Psyllium husk is rich in natural dietary fiber, containing a high proportion of hemicellulose along with arabinose, rhamnose, and galacturonic acid units. It consists of approximately 35% soluble and 65% insoluble polysaccharides, which help support normal digestive function.

Composition:
Each 100 gm contains:

• Isabgol Husk: 99 gm
• Other ingredients: q.s. (as per B.N.U.F.)

Indications:
Traditionally used for relief of constipation and digestive discomfort. It may also be used as a dietary fiber supplement for supporting bowel regularity and gut health.

Dosage:
3 gm should be mixed with 150–200 ml of water and taken 1–2 times daily, or as directed by a registered physician.

Contraindications:
Not recommended for individuals with intestinal obstruction, pathological narrowing of the gastrointestinal tract, or esophageal strictures.

Side Effects:
No significant side effects have been reported when used in recommended therapeutic dosages.
