Acme Tasty Saline – Oral Rehydration Solution for Diarrhea, Vomiting & Dehydration

Acme Tasty Saline is an oral rehydration solution (ORS) developed by The ACME Laboratories Ltd. It is formulated to restore fluid and electrolyte balance in patients suffering from diarrhea, dehydration, vomiting, and electrolyte imbalance. With its pleasant taste and scientifically balanced composition, Acme Tasty Saline provides effective hydration for both children and adults.

Indications

• Diarrhea

• Dehydration

• Vomiting

• Fluid and electrolyte imbalance

Dosage & Administration

• Adults: After each loose stool or vomiting, take 200–400 ml of prepared saline. Daily dose should match fluid requirements. Continue normal food intake.

• Children (above 10 years): 200–400 ml after each loose stool or vomiting.

• Children (2–10 years): 100–200 ml after each loose stool or vomiting.

• Children (<2 years): 10–20 spoonfuls (50–100 ml) after each loose stool or vomiting. Breastfeeding should not be stopped during therapy.

• Administration: May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications

• Patients with known hypersensitivity.

Side Effects

• Generally mild.

• Rare hematological reactions: thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis.

• Occasional pancreatitis, skin rashes, and allergic reactions.

Precautions & Warnings

• Patients with impaired kidney function, severe persistent diarrhea, or critical fluid loss may require parenteral fluids in addition to oral saline.

• Reconstituted saline should be used within 6 hours.

Storage Conditions

• Keep in a dry place away from light and heat.

• Keep out of reach of children.
