Introduction
Perkup is a unique preparation of standardized extract ofPerkup , which is widely used as effective herbal medicine in the treatment of depression. The major active constituents ofPerkup are hypericin, hyperforin, hyperoside, quercitrin and rich in vitamin C. Jonort possesses antidepressant activity which inhibits re-uptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-glutamate. It has also inhibiting activity of Monoamine oxidase (MAO) and Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT).

Perkup is used in- Depression Insomnia Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

How Perkup work
Perkup is most commonly used to treat for mild to moderate depression and conditions that sometimes go along with depression such as anxiety, tiredness, loss of appetite and insomnia. What if you forget to take Perkup
If you miss a dose of Perkup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Administration
Administered only orally as advised by the physician.
Adult Dose
Take one capsule three times per day, or as prescribed by a doctor.
Child Dose
Not recommended for children.
Renal Dose

Contraindication
Contraindicated in patient with a known hypersensitivity to silymarin.

It is not recommended to take St. John's Wort while pregnant. Breast-feeding is not recommended while taking this medication due to the potential risk to the infant.
Interaction
It interacts with SSRI antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, paroxetine), other antidepressants that affect serotonin levels (e.g., nefazodone), and some migraine treatments (e.g., sumatriptan, naratriptan).
