Introduction
Rimodep is a unique preparation of standardized extract ofRimodep , which is widely used as effective herbal medicine in the treatment of depression. The major active constituents ofRimodep are hypericin, hyperforin, hyperoside, quercitrin and rich in vitamin C. Jonort possesses antidepressant activity which inhibits re-uptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-glutamate. It has also inhibiting activity of Monoamine oxidase (MAO) and Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT).

Rimodep is used in- Depression Insomnia Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

How to use Rimodep
Take Rimodep in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take Rimodep orally with plenty of water. Do not chew, crush or break it.
How Rimodep work
Rimodep is most commonly used to treat for mild to moderate depression and conditions that sometimes go along with depression such as anxiety, tiredness, loss of appetite and insomnia. Although the exact mechanism of action of __NAME_ is unknown but it may inhibit the reuptake of Serotonin and Noradrenaline, inhibit Monoamine Oxidase (MAO), up-regulate Serotonin receptor, and reduce depression.
What if you forget to take Rimodep
If you miss a dose of Rimodep, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Administration
Administered only orally as advised by the physician.
Adult Dose
Take one capsule three times per day, or as prescribed by a doctor.
Child Dose
Not recommended for children.
Renal Dose

Contraindication
Contraindicated in patient with a known hypersensitivity to silymarin.

Precaution

Interaction
It interacts with SSRI antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, paroxetine), other antidepressants that affect serotonin levels (e.g., nefazodone), and some migraine treatments (e.g., sumatriptan, naratriptan).
