ঘিয়ের বহু গুণের কথা আমরা শুনে থাকলেও স্বাস্থ্য সচেতন, বলা ভাল ওজন সচেতন বর্তমান প্রজন্মের কাছে ঘি ভিলেন। এই ধারণা কিন্তু একেবারেই ভুল। ঘিয়ের বহু উপকারিতা তো রয়েছেই, ঘি কিন্তু ওজন কমাতেও সাহায্য করে। জেনে নিন কী কী কাজ করে ঘি।

১। স্ফুটনাঙ্ক- ঘি-এর স্ফুটনাঙ্ক খুব বেশি। ২৫০ ডিগ্রি সেন্টিগ্রেড পর্যন্ত ঘি গরম করা যায়। অধিকাংশ তেলই এই তাপমাত্রায় গরম করলে ক্ষতিকারক হয়ে যায়।

২। নষ্ট হয় না- ঘি সহজে নষ্ট হয় না। প্রায় ১০০ বছর পর্যন্ত ঠিক থাকে ঘি।

৩। স্বাদ- সুন্দর গন্ধ ও স্বাদ অথচ অধিকাংশ দুগ্ধজাত দ্রব্যের মতো ঘি থেকে অ্যালার্জি হওয়ার সম্ভাবনা নেই।

৪। ভিটামিন- ভিটামিন এ ও ই থাকায় ঘি পুষ্টিগুণে ভরপুর।

৫। কনজুগেটেড লিনোলেক অ্যাসিড- এই অ্যান্টিঅক্সিড্যান্টের অ্যান্টি-ভাইরাল গুণ রয়েছে। যা ক্ষত সারাতে সাহায্য করে। ডেলিভারির পর নতুন মায়েদের ঘি খাওয়ানো হয় এই কারণেই।

৬। ওজন ও এনার্জি- ঘিয়ের মধ্যে থাকা মিডিয়াম চেন ফ্যাটি অ্যাসিড খুব এনার্জি বাড়ায়। অধিকাংশ অ্যাথলিট দৌড়নোর আগে ঘি খান। এর ফলে ওজনও কমে।

৭। হজম ক্ষমতা- ঘিয়ের মধ্যে রয়েছে বাটাইরিক অ্যাসিড। এই অ্যাসিড হজম ক্ষমতা বাড়ায়।

৮। রোগ প্রতিরোধ- বাটইরিক অ্যাসিড শরীরের রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা বাড়ায়।

৯। খিদে বাড়ায়- হজম ক্ষমতা বাড়ানোর কারণে ঘি খিদে বাড়ায়।

১০। পজিটিভ ফুড- বহু প্রাচীন কাল থেকেই ঘি পজিটিভ ফুড হিসেবে পরিচিত। আধুনিক গবেষণাও বলছে ঘি খেলে পজিটিভিটি বাড়ে। কনশাসনেস উন্নত হয়।
