Genacyn-Vet 10 Injection 

Indications / Uses

Genacyn-Vet® 10 is a broad-spectrum antibiotic used in veterinary practice to treat bacterial infections in:

• Cattle, Sheep, Goats, Horses: Pneumonia, mastitis, enteritis, metritis, hemorrhagic septicemia, lameness

• Dogs & Cats: Bacterial infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections

• Poultry: Salmonellosis, colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, infectious coryza, enteritis, CRD, CCRD, early chick mortality, and secondary bacterial infections

Purpose: Controls and treats bacterial infections, reduces mortality and improves recovery in infected animals.

Dosage & Administration

• Large Animals (Cattle, Sheep, Goat, Horse):

  • Day 1: 1 ml per 25 kg body weight, every 12 hours

  • Day 2 onwards: 1 ml per 25 kg body weight, every 24 hours

• Small Animals (Dogs, Cats):

  • Dog: 1 ml per 10 kg body weight, every 24 hours

  • Cat: 0.5 ml per 6 kg body weight, every 12 hours

• Poultry: 0.05–0.1 ml per kg body weight, first day every 12 hours, then every 24 hours

Note: Dosages are general guidelines. Always follow a registered veterinarian’s prescription.

Precautions & Side Effects

• Do not use in animals allergic to gentamicin or other aminoglycosides

• Caution in pregnant or lactating animals

• Caution in animals with kidney problems

• Side effects are rare but may include vomiting, diarrhea, or mild allergic reactions
