Remeliv 80 is indicated, in conjunction with diet and exercise, for the treatment of adults with noncirrhotic nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH/MASH) with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis (F2–F3).

Pharmacology

Remeliv 80 is a partial agonist of thyroid hormone receptor-beta (THR-β), which is predominantly expressed in the liver. Activation of THR-β helps regulate liver metabolism and reduces intrahepatic triglycerides, supporting the management of NASH/MASH with liver fibrosis.

Dosage and Administration of Remeliv 80

The recommended dose is based on actual body weight:

  • Patients weighing less than 100 kg: 80 mg orally once daily.
  • Patients weighing 100 kg or more: 100 mg orally once daily.

Pediatric Use

The safety and effectiveness of Resmetirom have not been established in pediatric patients.

Renal Impairment
