Normal Range

• Leukocyte Esterase (Dipstick): Negative.
• Microscopic WBC Count:
  • Normal: 0-5 WBCs per high power field (HPF) in males.
  • Up to 10 WBCs/HPF may be normal in females.

Negative/Normal: No infection or inflammation is likely.

Trace or Mildly Positive: Consider low-grade infection or contamination; further testing may be required.

Moderate to Strong Positive: Suggests significant WBC presence, indicative of infection or inflammatory processes. A urine culture is often recommended for confirmation.
