Overview

Recombitek C4 is a recombinant and modified live virus vaccine designed to protect dogs against multiple serious viral diseases, including canine distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus type 1 and 2, and parainfluenza virus. Formulated using a canarypox vector expressing the HA and F glycoproteins of canine distemper virus, it provides safe and effective immunization in healthy dogs 6 weeks of age and older. Indications

Recommended for the vaccination of healthy dogs 6 weeks and older to prevent diseases caused by:

• Canine Distemper Virus (CDV)

Dosage & Administration

• Primary Vaccination: Reconstitute the lyophilized vaccine with the supplied sterile water diluent. Inject 1 mL subcutaneously or intramuscularly.

• Revaccination: Administer a second 1 mL dose 2–3 weeks after the first dose for puppies younger than 12 weeks. The last dose should be given at or after 12 weeks of age.

• Annual Booster: Give a single 1 mL dose once a year to maintain immunity.

Storage & Handling

• Store between 2–7°C (35–45°F).

• Use immediately after reconstitution.

• Do not use chemicals to sterilize syringes or needles.

• Dispose of any unused vaccine and containers safely.

Precautions & Side Effects

• Contains gentamicin as a preservative.

• Vaccination of pregnant dogs is generally not recommended.

• Rare reactions may include: lethargy, fever, swelling or pain at injection site, and hypersensitivity reactions.

• In case of adverse reaction, treatment may involve antihistamines, anti-inflammatories, or epinephrine as directed by a veterinarian.
