Sel-E Nano Oral Emulsion 500ml is indicated in the prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiencies in animals, e.g. encephalomalacia, muscular dystrophy, decreased hatchability in eggs, infertility problems in calves, goats, poultry, sheep and swine. Also prevention of iron- intoxication after administration of iron to piglets.

Brief Description

Indication

Livestock: For the prevention & treatment of Vitamin E &/or Selenium deficiency diseases, such as- muscular dystrophy, encephalomalacia, exudative diathesis etc. and as supportive therapy for poor immunity, muscle stiffness, weakness, lameness, infertility, retained placenta & mastitis etc. Poultry: For the prevention & treatment of Vitamin E &/or Selenium deficiency diseases, such as- muscular dystrophy, encephalomalacia (Crazy chick disease), exudative diathesis etc. and as supportive therapy for poor immunity, stresses, poor egg production & hatchability and ascites etc.

Administration

The dosage varies depending on the animal's size and the condition being treated. Veterinarians will prescribe the appropriate dose.

Dose

Oral Solution: Poultry: 1-2 mL in 10 L of drinking water for 5-10 days. Cattle: 1-2 ml per 10 kg body weight over 5-10 days. Bolus: Cattle receive 1-2 boluses every day for 5-10 days. Poultry: For prevention, mix 1 bolus with 32 L of drinking water for 5-10 days. For treatment, mix 1 bolus with 16 L of drinking water for 5 days. Or as advised by a registered veterinarian.

Mode of Action

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative damage.Selenium is a cofactor for the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which also protects cells from oxidative stress.

Contraindication

The combination should be used with caution in animals with pre-existing liver or kidney disease, as the metabolites of these nutrients may accumulate.Contraindicated in livestock & poultry hypersensitive to Vitamin E &/or Selenium.

Precautions

Excess vitamin E and selenium supplementation can lead to toxicity, so careful dosing is importan.Medicated drinking water should be replaced every 24 hours.
